About the role
Within Nikon Europe BV, Nikon Netherlands is responsible for coordinating the marketing and sales activities of Nikon Healthcare Microscopy solutions products in the Netherlands. Within the Sales team we are looking to recruit an Account Manager Microscopy. In this position you will be commercially responsible for the management and development of accounts for all low- to high-end customers, with all type of imaging applications in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for the main steps of the sales process, which are (but not limited to) introduction to the product, quoting, follow-up & support in customer issue resolution. For the high-end products you will work in close collaboration with the Application Specialist. You will strive for maximum client satisfaction by understanding the challenges facing your accounts, identifying opportunities and responding to them with a solution-focused approach.
Main responsibilities
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through regular contact and consultation at all levels within the customer’s organization.
Developing and updating strategic account plans and implementation strategies for your key accounts
Develop strong understanding of new and existing products, their attributes and applications
Identify business development opportunities by analyzing market trends and competitive information
Review product performance against client requirements to deliver optimal product configuration
Provide feedback on product, customer needs, market trends and competition in close alignment with the Application Specialist and Sales Manager
Develop ideas for business process simplification and cost reduction initiatives contributing to streamline Strategies and prepare marketing activities

Job requirements
Your profile
Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or similar
Commercial, sales oriented and result driven
Knowledge of (advanced) microscopy, imaging and software applications
Knowledge of the microscopy market
Ability to define, plan and work according to priorities and deadlines
Solid verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English required, Dutch language desirable)
Currently living in The Netherlands
Open to travel up to 80% within the Netherlands
In possession of a valid driver's license
