Job Summary

Are you a compliance professional ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and international environment? Nikon Europe is on the lookout for an experienced Compliance Specialist to play an important role in the team and drive strategic initiatives that safeguard and empower our business operations across the continent. In your role you will report to Senior Manager Compliance.

To further strengthen internal controls and governance across Europe, your primary responsibility will be to serve as the central point of contact for the compliance program within Nikon Europe. This includes leading and monitoring activities, and supporting various compliance-related projects.

What you will do

• Monitor and Assess Compliance: Conduct systematic compliance monitoring activities to ensure adherence to internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards.

• Identify and Mitigate Risks: Analyze processes, controls, and data to identify potential risk areas and recommend effective solutions.

• Develop Policies and Guidelines: Create, update, and maintain compliance-related policies, guidelines, and procedures to reflect regulatory requirements and best practices.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Build strong relationships with business units to support compliance initiatives and ensure smooth implementation of improvement actions.

• Prepare Reports: Produce clear and concise compliance reports for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

• Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and proactive in addressing emerging risks.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a proactive and strategic compliance professional who embodies Nikon’s values and excels in delivering results. This is what you will bring to the team: 

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as law, business, finance, or risk management.

• At least 3 years of experience in compliance, ethics, internal audit, risk management, internal controls, or related areas within a multinational business environment.

• A strong understanding of corporate compliance programs and business ethics principles.

• Outstanding ability to produce clear, concise summary reports for management.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (additional language proficiency is an advantage).

• A collaborative mindset, team spirit, and a positive attitude.
