We are seeking a dedicated Compliance & Training Specialist to join our Compliance department at Nikon Europe B.V. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring that our employees are well-versed in compliance with regulations and best practices.

As a Compliance & Training Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support in the area of compliance risk management at Nikon Europe BV and also in coordinating compliance training programs on the company eLearning platform to employees at all levels of the organization. You will work closely with the Compliance team to identify training needs, create engaging training materials, and conduct training sessions both in-person and virtually

The main focus is to (i) reinforce compliance functions within Nikon Europe B.V. and Nikon Group in Europe; and (ii) to administer and maintain the group company eLearning facility.

As a Compliance & Training Specialist at Nikon, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various departments, from legal and human resources to operations and sales, to design and implement comprehensive training initiatives that address the unique compliance needs of each area.


Key Responsibilities


Compliance Risk Management

  • Support Compliance Risk Management Programs for Nikon Europe Group Companies.
  • Develop, roll out, policies & processes, training, guidance and support in compliance related matters.
  • Collect data, responses and prepare reports.
  • Support implementation and follow up of Group wide compliance programs.
  • Follow up on any compliance related topic as may be requested.


Training & Communication

  • Administer compliance training programs.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) platform, ensuring smooth operation of the platform, enrolment and trouble shooting.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth roll-out of training courses.
  • Monitor training completion progress and follow up non-completion.
  • Report about training completion.
  • Draft training and/communication materials.


Internal Control & Governance

  • Support and follow up on Nikon internal control / governance programs (inc. timely collection & reporting).
  • Internal Audit findings and improvement points.
  • Nikon’s corporate internal control checklists/questionnaires.



Job requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in compliance training, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and educate employees on complex compliance topics. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to training development are essential for success in this position. Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in setting up processes, policies, and training.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing Learning Management System is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, which is the working language of Nikon Europe. Knowledge of one or more other European languages is a plus.
  • Must be familiar with excel, use of, and administering (E learning) systems.
  • Self-managing, ability to define, strategies, plan and work according to priorities and deadlines.
  • Internationally minded, able to operate in a diverse and multicultural environment and being proactive.
  • Strong personality with a keen business acumen, result-driven, a problem-solver who strives for the highest quality in work.
