Drive ICT Audit Excellence Across 45 Nikon Locations in Europe

At Nikon Europe, we are looking for an Internal ICT Auditor to join our European Internal Audit team (5 people). As the ICT subject matter expert within a team of five auditors, you will play a key role in assessing and strengthening IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and control processes across our European organization.

International Exposure

You will work closely with colleagues across Europe, supporting 45 Nikon locations and gaining insight into a wide range of business activities and technologies.

Travel Across Europe

The role includes approximately 15-20% travel, mainly within Europe and the UK.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.

  • Conduct ICT audits aligned with ISO 27001, COBIT, and IT General Control frameworks.

  • Participate in operational and integrated audits across various business units and functions.

  • Assess IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity controls, and data management processes.

  • Promote IT risk awareness and support local businesses in strengthening their control environments.

  • Identify and assess risks related to Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with Nikon Group policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Build trusted relationships with subsidiary management and operational teams throughout Europe.

  • Prepare audit reports, recommendations, and monitor remediation activities.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in ICT governance, cybersecurity, and audit methodology.

  • Contribute to the development of audit standards, approaches, and documentation across the Internal Audit department.

Job requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in ICT, finance or a related field.

  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Advisory, Technology Risk, Digital Trust, or Technology Assurance.

  • Knowledge of control standards (like ISO 27001, COBIT, IT General Controls (ITGC).

  • Professional certifications such as CISA, RE, EMITA, or equivalent are an advantage.

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx or similar platforms.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • A proactive, independent, and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Experience within a Big 4 or comparable consulting environment is highly valued.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.

  • Interested in AI field and improvements company wide
