Nikon Europe currently seeks a motivated and enthusiastic Supply Chain Specialist for the Imaging Division at Nikon Europe BV HQ. In this position, you will have a leading role in analysing and optimizing our entire supply chain, providing valuable insights and implementing necessary changes Working closely with a small team, as well as external stakeholders such as logistic service providers and suppliers of consumables, you will stay up-to-date with the latest industry technology and trends. Your contributions will be instrumental in the yearly process review at our warehouse, W2W, and you will be responsible for preparing all necessary documents for our internal audit. As the lead for weekly and monthly business reviews with our logistic providers, you will ensure that follow-up actions are monitored and implemented effectively. To succeed in this role, you must possess strong persuasive skills, while also being flexible and able to make compromises when necessary.  It is crucial that you understand and embrace the fact that you will be representing Nikon in all interactions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the end-to-end supply chain, from inbound to delivery to the dealer, including warehouse and distribution operations, logistic information systems, and purchasing.
  • Lead yearly process reviews at our logistic warehouse provider, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across functions to interpret and translate business requirements into effective logistic processes.
  • Identify potential areas for improvement in business processes, perform comprehensive analysis on any part of the supply chain, and evaluate vendors.
  • Optimize warehousing efficiency, including pick, pack, and value-added services.
  • Set up budgets for warehousing, transportation, and purchasing of kit consumables, and monitor budget progress in consultation with the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Develop and manage bidding documents (RFI/RFQ) to ensure the best possible selection of vendors.
  • Perform analysis of bidding documents, summarize results, and present to stakeholders.
  • Procure products and services, not limited to supply chain-related items, but also encompassing kit accessories, instruction manuals, and more.
  • Identify risks and implement measures to mitigate potential risks.

Job requirements

Required Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Supply Chain, demonstrating your practical knowledge and expertise.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with proficiency in other languages being desirable.
  • Strong negotiation skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with vendors and suppliers.
  • An eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of your work.
  • The ability to adapt to last-minute changes and shifting priorities, showcasing your flexibility and agility.
  • A customer-centric mindset, empathizing with customers and proactively anticipating their needs.
  • The ability to make quick and informed decisions based on thorough analysis.
