About the role
We are seeking to recruit a Data Analyst for the Imaging Department at Nikon Europe B.V.
The ideal candidate will be joining a dynamic European marketing team. You will be the key person that delivers insights, recommendations, and configurations across multiple stakeholders.
Recently we have changed the data approach to a centralized model overseeing all European Data to drive business agility and innovations. The Data Analyst will add a lot of value to the Digital Transformation by ensuring analytical insights are used to aid decisions. You will perform granular data analysis but also be able to apply some data engineering together with the data team. We are aiming to mature towards a fully data-led digital marketing and communications strategy to better engage with our customers. Personalization and data-driven customer flows are key areas to focus on.
We are looking for a positive and driven person with a proven ability to translate data into compelling stories that explain how experiences are performing across multiple stakeholders.
You are part of our digital marketing team, and you work in close collaboration with the Digital Architect and Manager Digital Marketing.
Main Responsibilities
Deliver analytical insights that inform and influence key decision-makers across the business.
Translate complex data into compelling stories that explain how digital experiences are performing.
Conduct deep-dive analytic reviews and turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Manage tagging governance and create tagging specifications to ensure accurate data collection.
Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to optimize performance.
Apply statistical analysis and predictive modeling to identify trends and forecast outcomes.
Develop and maintain data models, algorithms, and machine learning solutions.
Clean, aggregate, and organize data from multiple sources and load it into a centralized data warehouse.
Take ownership of our data platform, with hands-on experience in BigQuery and a strong understanding of cloud-based data architecture.
Visualize big data using tools like Tableau and Google Data Studio to support data-driven decision-making.
Build and maintain data pipelines using SQL and Python-based ETL frameworks.
Job requirements
Required Profile
Bachelor's or master's degree in the field of Business, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
5-10 years of experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
High level of understanding of Data Engineering
Experience finding, cleaning, and transforming data to build reports, dashboards, and/or data assets.
High-level experience in methodologies and processes for analyzing large-scale databases.
Experience with using data, models, and appropriate tools to provide analysis and actionable insight in an accessible way.
Experience with AB Testing/personalization process including test design, execution, analysis, and developing an actionable recommendation.
Experience with statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, probability, prevalence measurement, regressions, experimentation logic and biases, data modelling techniques, time series analysis)
Experience with Enterprise digital analytics solutions.
Knowledgeable in R and/or Python for data analysis.
Advanced SQL, data mapping, data quality assessment, Data Warehouse principles.
Ability to use Data dashboarding and visualization tools (preferably in Tableau).
Experience communicating and advocating with analytical insights to high-level audiences to inform decision-making.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills (fluency in English required, other languages desirable) with people at all levels.
Ability to build trust and interact with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
