Join us, and you will be based at our European HQ in Amstelveen, south of Amsterdam. A full working week is 37.5 hours, and we have a hybrid policy of 60/40 in favour of office-based work because we value real-world face-to-face communication.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a talented and highly organized Event & Marketing Coordinator for Nikon Europe BV, Healthcare division. As the key person responsible for delivering impactful marketing communication activities, you will play a crucial role in promoting the visibility and positioning of Nikon microscopes in the European market. Join our small but dynamic international Marketing & Communication team, where initiative is highly valued.

Your main focus will be managing and coordinating all Healthcare events across Europe, including tradeshows and conferences. With event attendees from clinical healthcare professions and scientific research sectors, such as universities, it is vital we ensure our participation at all events, is engaging, informative and impactful.

Additionally, you will oversee the production of promotional merchandise, coordinate both internal and external communications, monitor market trends, and support product management activities throughout the product lifecycle. Your valuable proposals and insights will help establish Nikon as a leading provider of microscopy solutions and an educational resource in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all activities associated with specific marketing events, conferences, trade shows and symposiums including but not limited to attendee management, program development, logistics and technical requirements
• Coordinate internal and external marketing communications
• Plan and create specific marketing materials required including but not limited to flyers and brochures
• Review and plan the production of branded merchandise
• Work with and manage creative agencies on promotional material and booth designs
• Conduct and report on market research associated with competitor activity and customer needs

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, diploma in marketing highly desirable
• 3+ years professional experience in a comparable position within a B2B industry such as Event Planner, Marketing Executive or Marketing Coordinator
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, able to run multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Effective time management abilities to plan efficiently and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Creative thinking to develop unique and engaging event and marketing ideas
• Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges
• Collaborative and proactive mindset
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills (fluency in English required)
• Experience in working in an international environment
• Ability to travel within Europe up to 25% including some weekends if necessary (tradeshows)
• Located in the Netherlands
