Join us, and you will be based at our European HQ in Amstelveen, South Amsterdam. A full working week is 37.5 hours, and we have a hybrid policy of 80/20in favour of office-based work because we value real-world face-to-face communication. We pay more than average, including a bonus and fully paid pension plan.

Your role as a ICT Engineer Digital Technology will require some travel to European Offices.


Job Summary:

The ICT Engineer is responsible for providing assistance technically to the Sr. Manager Digital Technology and their team. They will work closely with the team to maintain, manage, and improve the company's IT infrastructure and security. Additionally, they will assist in the coordination and implementation of IT projects.


More about the role

  • Provide technical assistance to internal users together with the team.
  • Promoting utilizing Nikon Group Global IT Security measures such as network (Nikon WAN, Internet, Intranet), Nikon global AD domain, group standard PC, group standard Server, collaboration/communication platform, etc. in Nikon Europe B.V. and Nikon European subsidiaries for optimization.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and rules for security protection.
  • Provide incident response during emergencies.
  • Provide service to all users within Nikon Europe.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of IT projects.
  • Deploy, maintain, and operate global IT security (software) measures and procedures for Nikon's European entities as a Nikon global team.​



Job requirements

Your Profile:

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management or related field.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in providing technical assistance in an IT environment (Networking, WAN, Internet, VPN, Datacenter).
  • Knowledge of security protection.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and tools, such as Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, SD-WAN, LAN, Windows Server/PC.
  • Experience in deploying, maintaining, and operating global IT security measures and procedures.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English required), Other languages desirable.
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Ability to define, plan, and work according to priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address IT risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Proactive approach to high quality customer service delivery, through empathising, anticipating customer needs and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Approaches problem solving creatively, analytically, and systematically to reach optimal solutions.​
