Currently we are looking to recruit a Marketing Automation Lead for the Imaging Division at Nikon Europe BV. The ideal candidate will be joining a rapidly evolving and dynamic European marketing team. As our Marketing Automation Lead you will be the key person to lead the ongoing development of our CRM driven marketing performance strategy with the objective of maximizing sales, customer acquisition, retention and customer experience. We are looking for a positive and driven person with strong project management and communication skills with ideally extensive experience within a CRM E-commerce driven environment. You will be reporting to the Senior E-commerce Marketing Lead and will work in close contact with the Senior Manager Digital Marketing, the Marketing Communications Manager, and their teams as well as the local Marketing teams.


Main responsibilities

  • Own the development of solutions to enable automated multi-channel data-driven campaigns driving ambitious D2C targets.
  • Strongly support in driving E-Commerce sales performance in order to achieve Nikon’s ambitious E-Commerce channel share targets.
  • Provide proactive consulting and advice on best practice campaign design based on your deep understanding of the available marketing technology capabilities and business outcomes.
  • Be accountable for providing technical advice and solutions to various stakeholders including D2C, Marcom and the Digital Technology.
  • Combine strategy, creativity and technical skills to reach our customers efficiently and effectively.
  • Have a deep understanding of the customer journey and map this out for our audiences.
  • Automate marketing efforts and campaigns in the best way to improve operational efficiencies in conjunction with Marketing Communications Manager and Manager Digital Marketing.
  • Lead technical delivery on end-to-end implementation of marketing automation projects.
  • Own communications between various marketing and technical teams to ensure technical solutions are delivered on time and to specify requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the digital team, content team and D2C team to determine how to automate campaigns.
  • Responsible for CRM Marketing Automation software tools like Sales Force Marketing Cloud.
  • Lead the CRM Taskforce and manage the CRM calendar.
  • Define content requirements and brief content team, closely align with Communication Manager for overall Communication planning.

Job requirements

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, business combined with marketing technologies or equivalent experience desirable
  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar role
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in other languages being desirable
  • In-house experience is an advantage, but agency profiles are also welcome
  • Experience in a consumer electronics and/or consumer goods organisation with strong affinity to photography/videography is a pre
  • High level of project management experience in a multi-market environment
  • Data driven and strong analytical skills
  • Experienced with marketing automation software ideally SFMC
  • Experience with Customer Data Platform software is an advantage
  • Strong experience in A/B testing strategies and software management


Knowledge & skills

  • Proven understanding of customer behaviour and psychology, and customer experience mapping techniques
  • Creative mindset with attention to testing and analysis to make automated campaigns data driven
  • High-level knowledge of customer base segmentation and marketing automation growth
  • Understanding of software development methodologies and project management
  • Strong skills in tracking tools like Google Analytics.
  • Demonstrates strategic perspective and sound judgement
  • Exceptional in customer centricity and customer oriented strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and interact with people from different cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to define, plan and work according to priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, accurate, organized and structured, but also flexible
