About the role

Within Nikon Europe BV, Nikon Netherlands is responsible for coordinating the marketing and sales activities of Nikon Healthcare Microscopy solutions products in the Netherlands. Within the Sales team we are looking to recruit a Sales Application Specialist. In this position you will be commercially responsible for all mid- to high-end customers with all type of imaging applications in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for the main steps of the sales process, which are introduction to the product, performing product demonstrations and training & support in customer issue resolution. In this role, you will report to the Sales Manager Netherlands.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Main source of product and application knowledge for our customers

  • Develop strong understanding of new and existing products, their attributes and applications

  • (Key-) customer visits and relationship management

  • Identify business development opportunities by analyzing market trends and competitive information

  • Review product performance against client requirements to deliver optimal product configuration

  • Provide feedbacks about the product, customer needs, market trends and competition in close alignment with the Application Specialist and Sales Manager

  • Team up with Application Specialist and stakeholders in order to share, circulate and profit the best experience knowledge

  • Develop ideas for business process simplification and cost reduction initiatives contributing to streamline Strategies and prepare marketing activities

  • Working on tenders

Job requirements

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or similar

  • Commercial, sales oriented and result driven

  • Good understanding of High-end microscopy products – High Content imaging Video Microscopy, Laser applications, Confocal and Super resolution

  • Knowledge of advanced microscopy, imaging and software applications

  • Knowledge of the microscopy market

  • Ability to define, plan and work according to priorities and deadlines

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English required, Dutch language desirable)

  • Open to travel up to 80% within the Netherlands

  • In possession of driver's license
