Currently the Legal & Compliance department at Nikon Europe B.V. seeks to recruit a Senior Manager Compliance

More about the role

As the Senior Manager Compliance, you will play a key role in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures to prevent and detect violations. You will also be responsible for organizing / managing compliance risk programs, investigations, and training to promote a culture of compliance within the organization. You will ensure Nikon Group companies in Europe operate in accordance with all applicable laws in line with Nikon’s compliance programs and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Risk Management

  • Implement and maintain Compliance Risk management programs for Nikon European group companies.
  • Develop and roll out, Policies & Processes, Training, Provide guidance and support in relation to compliance related matters.
  • Maintain and ensure smooth operation of European eLearning programmes and platform.
  • Keep up to date with relevant regulatory developments for Nikon group companies in Europe.
  • Investigate and help resolve compliance related issues with relevant teams/management.
  • European Point of contact for relevant compliance matters


Internal Control & Governance

  • Coordinate and follow up on Nikon internal control / governance programmes (inc. timely collection & reporting):
  • Internal Audit findings and improvement points
  • Nikon’s corporate internal control checklists/questionnaires


Whistleblower Program

  • Maintain and keep up to date Nikon’s European Whistleblower program.
  • Point of contact for whistleblower cases (shared role).
  • Timely follow up on cases in accordance with existing procedures.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper management of all cases.
  • Ensure timely reporting of all ongoing matters.


Administrative

  • Ensure timely reporting and proactive management of ongoing matters.
  • Coordinate and align with management and stakeholders for timely, correct, and proper follow up of outstanding issues and cases.
  • Proactively monitor and signal potential compliance issues and reporting to management.
  • Management of two colleagues. Ensure proper engagement of staff in achieving the goals.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Job requirements

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • At least seven years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in a similar role in the technology industry or Consumer Electronics.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with European legal matters affecting the relevant industry.
  • Certified or equivalent certification in Compliance Risk Management.
  • Experience in managing teams.
  • Experience in setting up processes, policies, and training.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, which is the working language of Nikon Europe. Knowledge of one or more other European languages is a plus.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Ability to manage and monitor moderately complex projects in close collaboration with our stakeholders.
  • Self-managing, ability to define, strategies, plan and work according to priorities and deadlines.
  • Internationally minded, able to operate in a diverse and multicultural environment and being proactive.
  • Strong personality with a keen business acumen, result-driven, a problem-solver who strives for the highest quality in work.
